AbstractFever is a symptom of illness that commonly found in the Minangkabau ethnic community. This way, community has local knowledge utilizing plants to cure fever. The purpose this study was obtain species used by treatment diseases with symptoms fever, as well their potential modern medicinal ingredients. research method carried out using open, semi-structural, and participatory observation techniques. Interviews were conducted 9 key informants selected purposive sampling 126 respondents snowball sampling. Data analyzed qualitatively descriptive statistic quantitatively calculating Cultural Significance Index (CSI) fidelity value. 40 from 22 families. most families Euphorbiaceae (5 species), Musaceae, Poaceae (each 4 Rubiaceae (3 species).
